Thursday was the last day of school for Sofia and Isabel. Isabel graduated third grade and Sofia graduated preschool. They go back after summer to the same building but both in new home rooms and Sofia with a new mentor.
When Isabel woke in the morning her eyes were itchy and puffy and I think we will have to pay attention to the pollen reports as well as the weather reports in the future. We have extreme levels of grass pollen at the moment and she most likely had a reaction.
That is the only reason I let her wear shades to graduation.
I think they looked adorable in their new dresses and they both seemed to like them. The voile lining on Isabel’s feels so soft and nice. I want one.
The weather was nice. It usually is on their graduation day – no rain even though there were a few threatening clouds.
I took Isabel to the clinic after graduation to have her eyes checked out – just to be absolutely sure it wasn’t pink eye – but the nurse confirmed our suspicions of hay fever. She stayed home in the afternoon to get acquainted with her eye drops.
